Some of Brett’s areas of expertise include business lines of credit, real estate, SBA lending, acquisitions, equipment financing, and non-profit business banking. Learn more about Brett in the Q&A below.

Q: What do you like best about working at Riverland?

I can already tell the people here are great – and that is key to success. As a full-service, relationship-based community bank, the team here prides itself on offering first-choice banking on a first-name basis, providing quick answers, locally based decisions, and customized solutions.

Q: What do you like to do in your free time for fun?

Spend time outdoors with friends and family, especially my two daughters, wife, and dog. I also golf as much as possible!

Q: What is your favorite book or movie?

My favorite book so far is “The Gap and the Gain.” It reminds you to focus thoughts on the “gains” in life and how far you’ve come, rather than getting stuck in the “gap” of constantly measuring yourself against certain ideals. This is something I am really trying to embrace moving forward – we need to remember to enjoy the ride and celebrate success. I think the art is being able to do that while still striving for realistic and achievable goals.

Q: In what ways are you involved in the community?

I served as the treasurer on the board of directors at Island View Golf Club and now serve on the finance committee. I attend Chamber events and volunteer whenever possible at places such as Feed My Starving Children.

Q: What is your favorite quote?

“Wherever you are, be all there.”

Q: How do you positively contribute to customers’ experience at Riverland?

I try to simplify banking solutions and provide top-notch customer service with the belief that people should get answers quickly and know what is going on along the way. Additionally, I try to put myself on the other side of the table, acting as an extension of my client’s team rather than a hurdle they need to climb over. And, most importantly, being relatable and having fun along the way.
