According to Mike Bartz with B+W Specialty Coffee, Riverland Bank makes things personal.

“Riverland Bank just feels genuine,” says Bartz, the Chief Operating Officer of B+W Specialty Coffee. “They always ask how business is going and I never feel rushed. It feels like a small town bank.”

Based in Minneapolis, B+W Specialty Coffee has been in business for 30 years and describes themselves as a medium-sized, regional roaster which primarily serves the midwest, though they also have accounts in New York and California.

About three years ago, they noticed the Minneapolis Riverland Bank location being built within walking distance of their headquarters on Hennepin Avenue. Although they had been with the same bank for more than 20 years, they saw an opportunity to increase efficiencies by having a bank close by and decided to set up an account with Riverland Bank. Bartz says they’ve continued to bank with Riverland because it’s always a positive experience. In 2020, B+W Coffee decided to take out a Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) Loan. Bartz says despite the confusion that was associated with the process, Riverland Bank made it easy, answering questions and following up with information as needed.

“Riverland Bank does simple things really well,” says Bartz. “They allow the client to decide what they need.”

At Riverland Bank, we want the customer to feel comfortable with every decision they make, every step of the way. Whether you’re a small, family-owned business or a large corporation, we move at your pace and personalize each experience.
