Meet Riverland Employee Taylor Ebneter!

Taylor is Riverland Bank’s Director of Operations and Information Technology. She was born in Greensboro, North Carolina, and her family bounced around for a while until landing in Charlotte, North Carolina. Then they moved to Shakopee, Minnesota when she was nine years old. She started banking as a part-time teller at Norwest Bank when she was 16, and the rest is history. Taylor was asked to answer a few more questions about herself, and here’s what she had to say!

Q: What do you like best about working at Riverland?

A: I enjoy the people I get to work with; we have a wonderful team here. It is so much fun to continue to build our bank and our brand.

Q: What do you like to do for fun in your free time?

A: I love to read, go to concerts, and spend time with my family. I have two wonderful little girls, three cats, and one motorcycle, so there’s always a lot going on.

Q: What is your favorite book and movie?

A: My current favorite book is The Signature of All Things by Elizabeth Gilbert. My favorite movie of all time is Say Anything.

Q: In what ways are you involved in the community?

A: I have a lot going on with my family, but I try to volunteer when Riverland coordinates events. I also donate blood when I can.

Q: What is a cause or topic you are passionate or curious about?

A: The environment – we only have one earth, people! Let’s take care of it.

Q: What is your favorite quote?

A: “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” – Margaret Mead

Q: How do you positively contribute to customers’ experiences at Riverland?

A: We have an initiative to constantly improve our process and procedures to assist in streamlining the customer experience. It is important that we have a friendly, knowledgeable staff and that is what my area (IT, Operations, and new accounts) is always working to improve upon. We are all on the same team, so working together makes all the difference.

Q: What else would you like to share about yourself?

A: I am an excellent whistler.
